The new interior of a former Olomouc factory was designed by Ječmen Studio. The old industrial building underwent extensive reconstruction and the place where telephones used to be made became a new centre consisting of a gallery, co-working offices, a café, a multipurpose hall and a flat for artists. However, the character of the former factory was preserved.

The factory environment is suggested by the colours and materials used. The desks in the co-working offices are shaped like workbenches and the bookcases resemble workers’ lockers. These features are complemented by our Melody Meeting conference chairs and Melody Office revolving chairs in shades of beige and grey.

The Telegraph co-working centre won the Jury Award in the 2020 Offices of the Year competition and the whole building was given an honorary mention of the Architects Grand Prix for its environmentally friendly approach.
