Dafna: A premium collection for contemporary interiors

Created through a dialogue between Lucie Koldova's design approach and our expertise in ergonomics, upholstery and polyurethane production, Dafna responds to the way contemporary interiors are evolving, with the boundaries between residential, hospitality and workplace environments becoming increasingly fluid.

Designed to be appreciated from every angle

Defined by pronounced upholstered volumes and soft, flowing curves, Dafna is designed to be appreciated from every angle. Rather than having a single front view, the collection has been designed to look beautiful from every angle, making it ideal for open interiors where seating is often seen from all sides. Whether placed in a lounge, reception area or meeting space, Dafna remains just as elegant from behind as it does from the front.

The gentle curve between the seat and backrest is one of the collection's most recognisable features. Described by Lucie Koldova as an imaginary smile, it gives the collection its warm, welcoming expression while remaining beautifully balanced from every angle.

"I was thinking about how to shape the curves of the upholstered forms and incorporate a clear idea that would also become the defining feature of the entire collection. In Dafna, that idea is an imaginary smile, which can be seen between the seat and backrest. The chair appears to be smiling, and I am delighted that it looks beautiful as a whole, including from behind. The smile became the central element of the design and, for me, captures and reinforces the inherently positive character of the armchairs," explains Lucie.

Comfort designed for everyday use

Behind the chair’s soft appearance is a construction developed for lasting comfort and daily performance. The seating shells are made from a rigid polyurethane core with a soft polyurethane comfort layer, creating seating that feels exceptionally comfortable while providing the stability and durability required for demanding commercial environments.

The collection is available in three sizes: a large lounge chair (L), an armchair (M) and a chair (S), each offered with a selection of base options. Depending on the model, customers can choose from monolithic upholstered bases, four-leg steel bases or aluminium star bases, with selected versions also available with castors or a 360° swivel. The collection is completed by the Dafna Tables, available in three sizes with upholstered bases paired with either metal tabletops in a range of colours or lacquered solid oak.

A selection of upholstery fabrics and finishes allows designers to create subtle tone-on-tone compositions or stronger visual contrasts. Selected stretch upholstery fabrics were chosen to accentuate the collection's rounded forms and soft appearance, bringing greater depth to its visual expression.

Designed for contemporary interiors

As the boundaries between workplaces, hospitality environments and residential interiors continue to evolve, seating is expected to perform across a wider variety of spaces. Dafna responds to this shift with chairs that deliver comfort, versatility and visual consistency.

Whether specified for a reception area, meeting room, hotel lounge, restaurant or private residence, the different models and tables can be combined, allowing different pieces to work together naturally within any modern interior concept.

Creating products that last

From the outset, longevity played an important role in the development of the collection. The seating shells and upholstered table bases are constructed from polyurethane, simplifying material separation and recycling at the end of the product's service life. The entire collection has also been designed to be reupholstered, allowing the upholstery to be renewed without replacing the product itself.

Production takes place at our manufacturing facility in Boskovice, where the polyurethane components are produced in-house. By concentrating production in one location, we maintain close control over quality while supporting efficient manufacturing and shorter supply chains.
