New Pod and Nido Bench modular systems: A new level of flexibility in seating solutions

Modular seating systems are becoming more and more important in modern interiors. Relaxation zones, lounges or informal places for short meetings are no longer only complementary parts of offices, hotels and public buildings – they are their natural parts. As a result, there has been an increasing demand for solutions that can be adapted to specific places.
Our response to this shift in contemporary interiors is our two new series: the Pod and the Nido Bench. Each system takes a slightly different approach to modularity, but both share variability, comfort, and easy adaptability to different interiors.
Pod: A modular solution for any place
The Pod modular seating system, designed by Dorigo Design, is our first new product. It consists of completely upholstered classic poufs and poufs with low backrests on robust steel legs. The individual modules, which also work well as standalone pieces, can easily be combined into sets of various shapes and sizes to adapt them to specific places and applications: from small relaxation rooms to large lounge zones.
A wealth of colour combinations
An important role in the Pod system is also played by colours. A wide range of upholstery fabrics and shades of metal bases allows you to create fine-tuned sets as well as more distinct combinations that will become noticeable parts of the interior. The system also includes an optional steel side table, which can be in a colour matching that of the bases of the individual poufs.
Local production with an emphasis on sustainability
All parts of the Pod system are manufactured in our own facilities in Boskovice, where quality is fully under our control. The design also focuses on long-term durability and sustainability. The moulded rigid polyurethane structure is designed for easy separation of individual material layers, which significantly simplifies recycling.

Nido Bench: A modular bench system suitable even for busy places
Our second new product is the Nido Bench seating system, developed in collaboration with Orlandini Design Studio as part of our Nido family. The basis of the system consists of one-, two- and three-seat benches that can be connected using fasteners into straight, branching, or curved configurations.
Comfortable sitting and easy standing up
The seat, made of injected polyurethane foam of 14 cm in thickness, provides comfort even during long sitting, while the higher structure and the reduced sitting depth make standing up easier. That makes the Nido Bench the perfect solution for waiting rooms, medical facilities or elderly care facilities. On request, the benches can be fitted with longer legs, which make them 10 cm higher for even more comfortable standing up.
A range of accessories for even more variability
The Nido Bench system includes many accessories, which provide more options of use. Armrests, low backrests and two versions of tables can be provided with the sets. Electric sockets for convenient power supply are available as well.
Crib 5 certification
Like the Pod, all the Nido Bench system parts are made in our own facilities in Boskovice. This entire range complies with Crib 5 certification, confirming high resistance to ignition. That makes the Nido Bench a suitable solution for busy and frequently used commercial, medical and hotel facilities.

New online configurator
You can see the variability of both new systems in practice. Along with these new products, we have also updated an online configurator. It has been unified for all our modular seating systems, so configuring your own layouts is now even more intuitive than the previous version.
The configurator will later include our other modular systems, Club and Open Port.
