Experience our seating at the Hotelkompetenzzentrum near Munich

21. 04. 2026

The Hotelkompetenzzentrum (HKZ) in Oberschleißheim near Munich is a space where interiors are experienced as they are meant to be used. Across more than 3 500 m², it features architecture, interior design and contract solutions in fully realised settings that reflect real projects.

From reception areas and lounges to conference and hospitality settings, leading brands in a range of disciplines are presented in a fully curated environment. Visitors can move through the spaces, sit, compare materials and experience how individual elements work together while exchanging ideas with experts across the field.

LD Seating at Hotelkompetenzzentrum

At Hotelkompetenzzentrum, we showcase a selection of our seating, from our most recognised designs to our latest developments. The range includes ergonomic office chairs, conference and meeting chairs, modular seating systems, bar stools and lounge and reception furniture, including Terra Lounge armchairs and Quadra sofas. Each piece is placed within a real interior setting, including a reception area and a meeting room, allowing visitors to experience the seating firsthand and understand how it performs within a space.

In conference settings, visitors can explore stackable seating and meeting setups, while lounge and hospitality areas introduce softer forms, materials and configurations designed for more relaxed environments. The variety of fabrics, finishes and combinations on display makes it possible to compare options directly and get a clearer sense of how each piece responds to different needs.

For many of our partners and dealers, HKZ offers something their own showrooms cannot always provide: the ability to present a broader range of our collection in one place within a complete interior context. It creates a shared environment where seating can be experienced more fully rather than as standalone pieces.

A space to explore and engage

Hotelkompetenzzentrum connects hoteliers, planners, architects and operators who are actively working on projects. It is not only a place for inspiration, but also a place where ideas are tested in practice and decisions start to take shape.

Unlike trade fairs, HKZ is open year-round, giving visitors the opportunity to return at different stages of a project and engage more deeply with the products. They can compare solutions and develop a clearer understanding of how products perform within a space, supporting more confident decision-making.

“The Hotelkompetenzzentrum is an important place of dialogue and inspiration for us. Here, we meet decision-makers, planners and customers in a creative environment that reflects our products. The opportunity to present our seating solutions in realistic scenarios represents significant added value for our partners,” says Nico Aschenbrenner, Managing Director of LD Seating Germany.

Looking ahead

We will continue to develop our exhibition at HKZ, regularly introducing new products and expanding how the space is used through presentations and events. It serves as a key point of contact for architects, planners, dealers and partners, offering a place to engage with our seating where real project decisions are made.

Being part of Hotelkompetenzzentrum allows us to present our approach to comfort, materials and design within a setting that reflects real use while staying closely connected to the people driving new projects across the industry.
