Our journey through 2024

9. 12. 2024

Join us in looking back on what we have achieved this year and what has inspired us and helped us move forward. This year, we have mainly focused on developing new products, on sustainability and our general presentation. We have come up with new series, participated in interesting events in our country as well as abroad and improved, step by step, what we can do best. Our seating furniture has been used in many inspiring projects, such as the new pavilion of the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine in Prague. And we are also very happy about the market development in the United Kingdom.

New series and upholstery fabrics, and an award for the FOLLOWME

This year, our product portfolio was enhanced by the LOTUS conference chairs and bar stools designed by Martin Ballendat. As the name suggests, their shape resembles the lotus flower.

Another newcomer is the RIVA series, distinguished by a wide range of colour and material versions, its comfort and versatility.

The NIDO modular seating system was also enhanced as we began to make a version with wooden legs. Due to its variability, the NIDO, designed for us in Italy by Orlandini Design, is the perfect creative solution for relaxation zones in companies, hotels and public places.

We also fine-tuned the LYRA AIR office chairs, which we introduced in new combinations of colours, which can liven up every workplace.

The FOLLOWME chair, designed by Andreas Krob, made us happy and proud since it won an iF Design Award in April, thus confirming its remarkable quality and timeless design.

Last but not least, we added new, interesting upholstery materials to our range and changed our powder coating shades to follow new trends.

We have exhibited our products both at home and abroad

We have participated in many interesting events in the Czech Republic as well as abroad throughout the year. We were partners of the Pulse and Living Forum conferences and the main partner of the Zlín Design Week, where we approached the students of Tomáš Baťa University and announced the first edition of our competition concerning the design of our installation in the KOMA modular container.

We also participated in the Clerkenwell Design Week in London, Designblok in Prague, where we achieved success with our interactive rocking horse sculpture made from our chair components, and, of course, in the international trade fair, ORGATEC, in Cologne, Germany.

Our Prague showroom refurbished

One of the most important events for us this year was the complete reconstruction of our showroom in Prague. Thanks to excellent cooperation with archicraft’s architects, we managed to create a modern and visually attractive space, which is used as a place for presenting our seating furniture as well as for inspiration and for meeting our partners and customers.

Improvements in Boskovice

Our Boskovice premises saw a lot of improvement as well. We commissioned photovoltaic power plants on the roofs of our production facilities. As a result, we now use mostly solar power, which is another step towards sustainable production.

Moreover, we moved PUR seating, our subsidiary producing foam shells, into new and much larger premises. Because our production and storage capacities are now larger, we can do the foaming not only for our own needs but also for other companies that are looking for high quality and do not want to use mass production.

We have lots of plans for 2025 as well

We already know now that we definitely will not get bored in 2025. We are planning to launch our ARCUS conference chairs, which will be a nice addition to our existing office models. And the ARCUS office models will be upgraded with a new mechanism.

Additional products will also be added to the LOTUS and RIVA series and to the popular FLEXI family by Orlandini Design, which will be complemented by a new four-legged model and a new lounge version. These models were introduced this October at ORGATEC, where they aroused a lot of interest and the response was very positive.

We will also be working on innovation in the area of upholstery and, as part of the company’s development, we would like to buy a new machine for PUR seating to produce hard polyurethane, which will ensure better recyclability of our chairs and armchairs.

And we will definitely not miss interesting trade fairs and festivals. We are planning to attend the Zlín Design Week, Clerkenwell Design Week, Designblok and several other events. We will be happy to see you at some of them.

Finally, we would like to thank all our employees, business partners and customers. It is only thanks to you that we can grow and develop our products.
We would like to wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We cannot wait to see what the year 2025 brings to all of us.
